Dr. Salimur Choudhury (Founder & Director)


Dr. Salimur Choudhury is a tenure track assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at Lakehead University, Thunder Bay, ON, Canada. He is also holding an adjunct assistant professsor position at the School of Computing at Queen's University, ON, Canada. He finished his PhD from the School of Computing at Queen's University, ON, Canada in 2013. He obtained masters in Computer Science degree from the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at University of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada in 2008 and completed bachelor in Computer Science and Information technology from Islamic Univeristy of technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2004. The main research interest of Dr. Choudhury is designing algorithms for optimization problems. The research works of Dr. Choudhury have been presented and published in both theoretical (mathematical programming, natural computing, cellular automata, parallel processing, unconventional computing) and application venues (networking and distributed systems, bioinformatics, operations reseach, natural language processing etc). Dr. Choudhury also worked as a senior software engineer in IBM Canada Software Lab (DB2 Kernel Development team) and Phoneix Interactive Design (architecture and product development team).
